About the opportunity

A big part of what we do at Primary Health Tasmania is planning and contracting (commissioning) services designed to improve the health and wellbeing of Tasmanians.

Due to an increase in health program portfolios, we have an exciting, new opportunity for an Advisor – Contractor Relationships to join an established and highly committed team, playing a key role in managing contracts for commissioned service providers in the primary health care sector.

The work of the Advisor follows the full commissioning cycle and works collaboratively with commissioned service providers to deliver quality health care to Tasmanians. The role is a unique blend of influence and contract management, shaping health service delivery.

What you would be doing

Working closely with your team and the Manager – Contractor Relationships you will support the planning, implementation and management of commissioned health service providers – including:

  • Procurement, contract negotiation and implementation
  • Performance and compliance monitoring, and risk management
  • Ensure precise and accurate contract documentation
  • Develop a shared understanding with service providers on contractual requirements
  • Support contract closure including service decommissioning

  • Contract Management: Skilled in developing, negotiating, implementing and overseeing contracts including supporting procurement planning and service commissioning
  • Performance Monitoring: Proficient in assessing data, monitoring service provider performance and ensuring compliance with safety, quality and financial standards
  • Collaboration: Expert in building and maintaining successful relationships across teams, and supporting providers and stakeholders in meeting contractual requirements
