ROLE OVERVIEW:

Reporting directly to the General Manager, Quality and Safeguarding, the Policy and Project Officer will ensure the organisation complies with the requirements to operate Disability and other services across Possibility entities. As part of the Quality and Safeguarding Team, the position shares responsibility for ensuring that all entities within the group respond to the requirements of the Quality and Safeguarding framework, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, as well as any other compliance or regulatory requirements that apply to services we provide.

Role requirements may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Contribute to the organisation meeting the expectations of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (The Commission) in relation to the Quality and Safeguarding Framework, specific areas of interest of the Commission, and in relation to issues raised with or by the Commission in relation to Possability entities.
  • As part of the overall Quality and Safeguarding Framework, continually evaluate and review the effectiveness of the organisation’s policies and procedures and implement changes and improvements where necessary, with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
  • Assist in the creation of an all-of-organisation suite of policies and procedures in line with the Commission Practice Standards and any other legislative/compliance framework.
  • Engage with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the development of policies and procedures are effective and achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of staff training modules to support the Quality and Safeguarding Framework requirements.
  • Identify areas of risk, potential non-compliance, or where the organisation does not meet relevant practice standards and expectations.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Experience in leading major projects with associated teams in a strategic organisational context.
  • Detail and process oriented ensuring quick assimilation to existing system framework.
  • Expertise in identifying, implementing and managing processes and related systems ensuring overall development of existing framework.
  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years of relative experience in similar industry.
  • Project Management experience;
  • Proficient is MS Office products and systems.
