About you

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their relevant experience in a similar role and be proactive with excellent time management skills. You will have a high level of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. This position is perfect for an HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment - being in a position of responsibility with the ability to lead and influence change.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional who is passionate about and/or has experience in ‘care’ related industries such as Disability Services, Aged Care, Social Work, Hospitals or Health Care.

This position can be based in either our Launceston or Hobart Office, Tasmania.

About the role

Permanent, Full time. Approximate Salary 85K

The Employee Relations Coordinator will be responsible for the provision of timely high level advice and support to employees and organisational leaders, to build their knowledge and capability in the use and application of our industrial and legislative instruments for employment.

This position requires a Human Resources practitioner with demonstrated industrial/employee relations experience, who can build effective, transparent and consultative relationships, and offer practical support in maintaining the employment relationship.

What’s essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or Employment Law or experience deemed to be equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated employee relation or industrial relations experience
  • Experience with managing employee investigation processes from start to end
  • Demonstrated ability to provide advice and support to employees and leaders
  • Current knowledge of contemporary HR/ER practices
  • The ability to travel to provide onsite support as required
