About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate and community-minded Program Coordinator to lead our Follow the Dream Primary Program in Newman, WA.

This is a part-time (1–2 days/week), fixed-term role for 2025, ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

You’ll oversee the after-school program, manage tutors, and work closely with students, families, and the local Aboriginal community to deliver a culturally responsive and engaging learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver the Follow the Dream Primary Program (1–2 afternoons/week during school terms)
  • Recruit, supervise, and support casual staff and tutors
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, schools, and community stakeholders
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning activities
  • Manage program data, reporting, and budget

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience delivering educational or youth programs
  • Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities
  • Administrative and reporting skills
  • Understanding of budgeting and funding partnerships
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Currently residing in the Pilbara: Newman, WA
