Positive Life NSW is recruiting an Administration Support Officer, skilled and passionate about the needs of people living with HIV in NSW.
About the organisation
Positive Life NSW is the largest peer-led and run representative body of all people living with HIV in Australia based in NSW, and the voice of all people living with HIV in NSW since 1988. We empower all people living with HIV in NSW with information, referral and advice on all relevant issues with the aim of ensuring the optimum well-being, care and support for the Body Positive including our friends, family and carers across NSW.
SELECTION Criteria
- A high level of attention to detail, being thorough and efficient in work practices.
- Tertiary qualifications or experience in health and community services
- Demonstrated administrative, computer skills, including Microsoft Office; XERO; and an understanding of general IT maintenance and systems
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with all PLHIV populations and HIV service partners
- Able to work independently and productively as a team member, contributing to a respectful and cohesive office environment
- Executive and project assistance skills including the capacity to plan, administer, monitor and report on projects with minimal supervision and within deadlines
- Event Management experience highly regarded but not essential. Ability to successfully plan, manage and organise all aspects of events, from venue, catering and attendance.
- Understanding of the needs of PLHIV and commitment to HIV populations throughout NSW
- Practical understanding of occupational health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discriminatory practices and behaviour as applied in a work environment
- NSW Driver’s License
