Your New Role:

Part-time, fixed-term Playgroup Facilitator role based in Gold Coast North from May 2025 - June 2026 offering 8 hours per fortnight.

Our vision is ‘Playful Connected Communities’ and you will directly help us achieve this by planning, developing and delivering various play experiences

• Support program establishment with the manager and organise activities to achieve outcomes and develop session materials as needed.
• Create welcoming environments for families and children ensuring content is relevant and enhancing participant engagement.
• Deliver sessions as per funders specifications, moderate for safety, role model safe play and set up/pack down resources.
• Communicate with parents and carers about children's needs and provide guidance to play helpers.
• Completes general administrative tasks as directed by the Coordinator/Line Manager.

Your Skills Profile

• We are currently seeking a passionate team player to join our team at Play Matters.
• Holding or being eligible to hold a Working with Children Check is mandatory.
• If you hold qualifications and/or relevant experience in early childhood, childcare, community development, disability or family support then this is the role for you.
• Experience working with families from varying social and cultural backgrounds is desirable.
• Experience in group facilitation that requires the ability to model positive strength-based strategies when dealing with challenging behaviours is desirable.
