Your New Role

This is full-time permanent role starting in July with an opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team, supporting a regionally dispersed team of Regional Managers to drive high quality service delivery across Central and North Queensland. Whilst this role will be based primarily in Enoggera, Queensland, interstate travel will be a requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate: Lead and advocate for Play Matters' vision, mission, and strategy within the organisation and the external community.
  • Operational Management: Ensure regions meet contractual obligations within budget, manage program lifecycles, and support regional program establishment and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Evaluate program outcomes, recommend improvements, extend program reach, and collaborate on funding opportunities.
  • Leadership and Finance: Adopt leadership styles aligned with PMA’s strategy and values whilst supporting operational management and contributing to budget submissions.
  • People Management: Inspire positive organisational culture, recruit and onboard new managers, develop KPIs, supervise and coach team members, and ensure regional teams remain connection to the vision and strategy of the broader organisation.
  • Networking and Partnership: Build networks and partnerships, keep abreast of funding sources, contribute to grant writing, and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Compliance and Administration: Complete administrative tasks, prepare budget submissions, ensure compliance with legislation, and maintain data privacy and accuracy.
  • Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S): Promote and adhere to WH&S legislation, advocate for child safe practices, and ensure a safe workplace environment.

About You

  • Holds or is eligible to hold a Working with Children Check
  • Current or C-class driver’s licence
  • Relevant degree/qualifications and/or experience in early childhood, human services and/or community development/disability, family support or related fields
  • Experience working with families from varying social and cultural backgrounds
  • Previous experience leading a geographically dispersed team of people across multiple portfolios
  • Previous experience in operational management and/or experience in operationalising and implementing strategic business plans
  • Previous experience in team management and leadership
  • Experience in effectively networking and building sustainable relationships and connections in the sector
