Are you passionate about supporting families and building stronger communities? Join Playgroup Tasmania as a Playgroup Development Practitioner and help grow inclusive, community-led playgroups that support the wellbeing and development of young children and their families.

In this role, you will:

  • Work alongside families, volunteers and local organisations to start and support playgroups.
  • Help create safe spaces for children to play, learn and connect with their caregivers.
  • Promote the value of play and peer connection in the early years.
  • Facilitate supported playgroup sessions that are welcoming, inclusive and engaging, including delivery of evidence-based programs (training provided).

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in community development, family support, early childhood or similar.
  • Strong relationship and group facilitation skills.
  • A commitment to child safety and inclusive practice.
  • Confidence working with diverse families, including Aboriginal, multicultural and LGBTQIA+ communities.
  • A current driver’s licence and ability to travel within Tasmania.
