At Plan International Australia, your career can make a real impact. Join us as our new Philanthropy Development Officer, a rewarding part-time position focused on prospect research and relationship building, supporting our mission to advance children's rights and equality for girls worldwide.
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation. We strongly believe in every child's limitless potential, a potential often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination – with girls often the most impacted.
Working together with children and young people, as well as the support of powerful partnerships, we tackle the root causes of inequality. We actively drive change through humanitarian response, advocacy and development programs across more than 80 countries.
As our Philanthropy Development Officer, you'll be instrumental in deepening our philanthropic partnerships. This role is key to identifying and researching prospects from corporate and philanthropic landscapes, initiating outreach and qualifying leads through initial conversations. Your keen insights and detailed research will help us secure meetings with high-value prospects for our philanthropy and partnerships team.
We’re seeking someone who brings curiosity, empathy, and analytical rigour—and who thrives in a genuinely flexible work environment (part-time at 0.5 FTE), making this role perfectly tailored for balancing other life commitments.
You're deeply committed to equality, human rights, and gender justice, driven daily by values of inclusion and respect. You naturally challenge unjust power dynamics, enjoy collaborative working relationships, value shared decision-making, and are eager to learn and grow professionally. Importantly, you embody commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable communities in all aspects of your work.
Plan International proudly commits to safeguarding children, young people and beneficiaries. Applicants must undergo National Police Check and complete our mandatory safeguarding guidelines and policies.
