Key Responsibilities

  • Administration and general clerical duties (to minimum Level 3 scope and competency under the Clerks Private Sector Award (MA000002). Including meeting organisation and minute taking.
  • Execution of the PKDA Communications Plan and Content Calendar – drafting and posting relevant and accurate content across PKDA’s social media channels, Youtube, newsletter, website and EDMs. Managing internal and external communications.
  • Organisation of Zoom webinars and in-person community events.
  • Identifying funding opportunities and coordinating and encouraging community fundraising and donation.
  • Coordination of research grant rounds for Board consideration and approval.
  • Directing and collaborating with community volunteers.

  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently in taking direction from the Board’s nominated representative.
  • Passion to make a difference for our cause and connect empathetically with our community.
  • Organised and efficient, with exemplary time management skills.
  • Professional, caring and open attitude and presentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mandatory proficiency in using Outlook, Google Drive, social media platforms and Zoom.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Powerpoint, Canva, Mailchimp and editing video content for Youtube is not mandatory but would be highly regarded.

About the Role

  • Reports to the nominated Board representative and works closely with community volunteers, other Board members and our Scientific Advisory Board.
  • Work from home with flexibility. Minimum 20hrs per week, part-time structured under the provisions of the Clerks Private Sector Award (MA000002).
  • This role has significant opportunity for training and advancement.
