  • $37.32 (probation rate) then $38.62 inclusive of hourly allowance for 7-day roster (Mon to Sun) & public holidays
  • Field based role working in stunning coastal locations, bushlands and reserves.

The role

As Wildlife Ranger you will join our passionate conservation team in this dynamic role delivering a range of wildlife and environmental management programs including the captive care and husbandry of animals at the Koala Conservation Reserve. The Wildlife Ranger will undertake the rescue and rehabilitation of sick and injured wildlife via the Nature Parks rehabilitation centre and monitor recovery actions for both rare and abundant wildlife of Phillip Island.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience working in a wildlife clinic or wild animal rehabilitation, in particular seabirds.
  • Experience in captive koala care and management and/or managing captive wildlife.
  • Knowledge and experience in habitat management, including pest plant and animal control.

To commence your journey with us, the following is required

  • Tertiary qualification in Veterinary Nursing / Wildlife Husbandry and relevant work experience or
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science / Natural Resource Management and relevant experience
  • Working with Children Check
  • Manual Drivers’ Licence
  • First Aid Level II and CPR
