The Field Services Officer will undertake habitat management works within the Nature Parks’ by implementing efficient, effective, and timely weed control techniques. This role is also provides assistance with revegetation works, nursery operations, seed collection and track maintenance.

To be successful in this position you will need to address the following criteria:

  • Experience or interest in Natural Resource Management, particularly in the area of weed control.
  • Have a current Agricultural Chemical User Permit;
  • Manual Drivers License;
  • Understanding and application of best practice weed control techniques for woody, herbaceous and grassy weeds;
  • Experience or interest in plant identification, particularly the ability to determine native from non-native species;
  • Excellent record keeping and data management skills; and
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Current manual driver’s license, and employee Working with Children Check are also required prior to commencement.

Hours of employment are in accordance with a five day roster Monday to Friday.
