Phillip Island Nature Parks has received dedicated project funding to deliver the Seabird Habitat Rehabilitation Project, and we are excited to open applications for four (4) Field Services Officers to join our team on a six-month fixed term contract.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to protecting and restoring some of the Island’s most important habitats, working across the Island in various locations such as Cape Woolamai, the Summerlands Peninsula, and Rhyll Inlet.
As a Field Sevices Officer you will work as part of a team, undertaking habitat management works within the Nature Parks by implementing efficient, effective, and timely weed control techniques. This role also provides assistance with revegetation works, nursery operations, seed collection and track maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
Undertaking weed control and other vegetation management activities to improve habitat quality.
Assisting with planting and site rehabilitation works across multiple project sites.
Supporting monitoring and maintenance tasks to ensure project success.
Contributing to safe work practices and working collaboratively with fellow team members at all times.
