Warmun is an Aboriginal community in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. It is a well-established community with a floating population of around 600-700, mostly Gija people. Most people reside in Warmun while up to a third of the population comes and goes from the surrounding outstations of Frog Hollow (largest outstation community with an approximate population of 60 people), Bow River, Norton Bore, Violet Valley and Crocodile Hole. It has a police station; a state government health clinic; Catholic School (kindergarten to Year 9); an early learning centre; the community owned Warmun Roadhouse and Wungkul Store; the internationally acclaimed Warmun Art Centre and Kija Rangers.
Warmun Community’s main sources of funding are Commonwealth and State Government grants and income generated by community-owned enterprises.

The preferred highly skilled manager will possess the skills, knowledge and experience required to successfully manage the municipal services and diverse organisational operations of this self-managed community. They will also demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of the Warmun community and its members.
