What You Will Be Doing

Multiple opportunities await to join the friendly and dynamic Social Work Department at Peninsula Health as a Grade 2 Social Worker based at Frankston Hospital.

Social Workers at Frankston Hospital are members of a large Social Work team who work collaboratively across a range of medical and surgical wards. The available positions will involve working with adults of all ages, who may be experiencing a wide range of medical and psychosocial issues. Social Workers undertake psychosocial assessments, develop interventions, provide emotional support and work alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered discharge plans. Grade 2 Social Workers provide support and clinical supervision to their Grade 1 Social peers & Social Work students.

These positions are suitable for an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker, or a Grade 1 Social Worker with experience in health who is keen to progress their career.

What You Need 

We anticipate you will have:

  • You will need to hold a Bachelor Degree or Qualifying Masters in Social Work and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience post graduation. Post graduate studies are highly regarded and may be eligible for a higher education allowance.
  • As a multi-site organisation you may be required to work across sites. You will have access to our extensive pool of fleet cars and will need a Victorian Drivers licence.

*Please refer to salary circular for ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
