What You Will Be Doing

The overarching aim of the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Program is to improve the health and wellbeing of mothers and babies with key objectives being:

• To improve women’s access and attendance to antenatal and post-natal services
• To improve women’s access to a range of support services which may include health, welfare, housing and education services
• Deliver health promotion messages that aim to reduce risk behaviours and promote healthy behaviours

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Social Work (Bachelor or Master of Social Work)
• Community Based Outreach experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team including a capacity for reflective practice, maintenance of a professional portfolio and a willingness to participate in clinical supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated skills in engagement with diverse and vulnerable families
• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
