What You Will Be Doing

The Men’s Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) Facilitator works in collaboration with other team members in delivering a range of short, medium and longer-term family violence behaviour change interventions to men in the Bayside Peninsula catchment who are 18 years or over and identify using violence in their family relationships. The role works with men to enhance the safety of women, children and other family members. This role can include working in collaboration with other Peninsula Health services as well as external agencies, where required. The role includes client engagement, risk assessment and safety planning, men’s behaviour change group work and case management. Evening work is a requirement for this position.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

  • A relevant qualification in Social Work.
  • Eligible for membership with the AASW.
  • An understanding of skills required in group work facilitation, case management.
  • Understanding of the impacts of family violence for family members and broader community.
  • Strong skills in working with complex clients including defusing, self-management and reflective practice
