The Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of NSW (P&C Federation) is looking for a star candidate to lead strategic policy and advocacy work that will elevate and amplify the voices and values of public school communities.

About the Role

As our Policy, Advocacy and Government Relations Advisor, you will:

  • Develop proactive policy positions and high-quality submissions on key education issues
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with political offices, government departments and education stakeholders
  • Represent parent voices in consultations, media responses, and public advocacy
  • Lead targeted campaigns that influence public debate and government decision-making

You Bring

  • Experience in policy, advocacy, or government relations (senior or emerging talent welcome)
  • Exceptional communication, writing and negotiation skills
  • A sound grasp of political processes, stakeholder engagement, and public education policy
  • Strategic thinking and a strong sense of social purpose
  • Experience in the education, nonprofit or public sector is an advantage
