Primary Care Connect (PCC) aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people who use drugs (PWUD) within Greater Shepparton and the surrounding areas. Funded by the Department of health and Human Services, PCC provides a range of programs including;

  • Needle Syringe Program which provides PWUD with injecting equipment, and information and education
  • NSP vending machine for access to clean injecting equipment after business hours
  • Alcohol and other drugs team who can provide a holistic service to PWUD
  • Support service for families and significant others.

The position will engage clients and act as a conduit to other services within PCC. The Harm Reduction Worker will work within a harm reduction framework to provide education, information and referral to PWUD to reduce the risks of drug use and improve their overall health and well-being.
