Role Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Hospitality Worker to help run our food vans three days a week. This includes participating in markets, festivals, and community events, offering high-quality service and representing the Cooked brand with professionalism and enthusiasm. While direct support of participants is handled by trained staff, your role is central to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate food vans including full setup, pack-down, and daily restocking
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and food items
- Provide outstanding customer service and uphold the Cooked reputation
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with food handling procedures
- Collaborate with Pathway Essentials team members to ensure smooth operations
- Attend team briefings, debriefs, and scheduled planning sessions as required
- Represent Cooked and Pathway Essentials positively at all times in community settings
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in hospitality or customer service roles
- Barista training and experience (essential)
- Current Food Handlers Certificate (required)
- Valid Working With Children Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Ability to work autonomously, remain calm under pressure, and problem-solve effectively
- Physical capacity for lifting, standing, and working in outdoor environments
- Interest in youth engagement and inclusion (participant supervision is the responsibility of Pathway Essentials support staff)

Cooked is a dynamic hospitality training program that operates food vans in community settings, markets, and festivals. It provides a safe, inclusive space for young people at risk and those with additional needs to develop real-world skills, confidence, and community connections.
