Are you an administration professional looking for the right opportunity? Would you like to work for a small community training organisation and Childcare Centre?

Park Orchards Community House & Learning Centre Inc.is a Registered Training Organisation, well-respected within the community. We are seeking a part-time, experienced, Administration Officer to join our team.

The right candidate will be the first point of contact for students and childcare families. You will need to be friendly, helpful, organised and able to find answers and problem solve. You will also need to have strong computer skills and be a quick learner.

This role will involve:

  • Ability to respond to enquiries and provide advice to students and families.
  • Maintain records and perform administration tasks to a standard compliant with relevant government requirements and legislation.
  • Social media marketing.
  • Updating website content on a regular basis.
  • Liaise with Tutors and Trainers.
  • Provide administration support to the VET Coordinator, Childcare Coordinator and Community Coordinator.
  • Assist with course preparation (marketing, materials, trainer requirements and facilities).
  • Manage new childcare enrolments and waiting list.
  • Organise and conduct childcare service tours for prospective families.
  • Reception duties (one day per week).
  • Accounts receivable functions (as required) including taking payments, daily reconciliations and banking.
  • Other administrative duties as required to ensure the organisation continues to succeed and maintain its high standards and reputation.

The right person for this role must have:

  • Experience working in a Community House or similar organisation.
  • Excellent phone manners and presentation.
  • Social media marketing experience.
  • Website content management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven commitment to quality customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Warm and professional disposition and well-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively with a broad audience, including students and families.
  • Good time management, organisational and administrative skills and ability to manage competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment towards our values, policies and procedures.
  • No offence listed on current Police Check.
  • Successful completion of ‘Working with Children’ Check.
  • Completion of Year 12, with relevant work experience.
  • Current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.

Highly desirable

  • RTO industry experience with knowledge and experience of administration requirements.
  • Childcare Centre administration experience.
  • Experience using a Student Management System e.g. VETtrak.
  • Experience using a Childcare Management System e.g. Xplor
  • CCS (Child Care Subsidy) knowledge.
  • Adobe CC experience (InDesign and Photoshop).
