About the role

The Peer Comorbidity Worker works collaboratively with the Kwelana Step Up Step Down (SUSD) Service managed by Mind Australia, to provide consumer-centred, recovery-focused and trauma-informed care, for consumers and carers experiencing AOD concerns. They are integral team members of the SUSD service and are expected to be actively involved in and contribute to the consumer’s care and ongoing journey.

Pay Level is equivalent to Level 4 – Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.

About you

Able to demonstrate a lived experience of alcohol or other drug concerns and an understanding of how to use this to inform work as a Peer. The ability to model emotional maturity, coping skills and resilience. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Trauma Informed Practice principles and ability to implement this in day-to-day practice with colleagues and clients.
