About Us

Palmerston Association is a leading and respected not for profit provider of alcohol and other drug services. We have a rich and proud history of providing support through a range of services including counselling, groups, residential rehabilitation, and educational initiatives.

About the role

Based at the South Metro Community Alcohol and Drug Service in Fremantle and working at the Fremantle Court, the role offers information and support to people who have been in contact with the justice system. The successful applicant will have the ability to work with people with regards to alcohol or other drugs. A strong sense of connection with the Aboriginal community is essential, along with good communication and yarning skills. Applicants with interest and experience in the alcohol and other drug field or justice system are well suited to this role.

The position involves encouraging eligible people to consider the alcohol and other drug court diversion program, liaising with court staff, conducting assessments for the program and following up with clients. 

Pay Level is equivalent to Level 4 – Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.
