Program Supervisor

OzChild

We have an exciting opportunity to lead our TFCO Team in Blacktown NSW to amazing outcomes & become our new Program Supervisor.

You will be accountable for the operational and clinical oversight and leadership of the program and oversee all aspects of each young person’s placement, including skills coaching, education support, individual & family therapy.

Residential care is the last place a child should live.

Kids do best in family, or family-like, environments. But sometimes it’s not safe for a child to stay with their birth parents. And some kids have complex needs that make it difficult to stay with general foster carers. These are the children who end up in residential care. Children in residential care are likely to have trauma from past neglect or abuse. That trauma compounds when they’re placed in a group with other traumatised children who have complex behaviours. As a group, these children and young people are supervised by youth workers on a rotating roster. It’s lonely and they are at risk.

Given the right support , every child can thrive !!!

Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) is a specialised foster care program designed to help children and young people who are either in, or at risk of entering, the residential care system.

It is an evidence-based treatment program which supports children ages 12-17 with a history of trauma and resulting complex behaviours, including aggression, poor school engagement, poor peer relationships, poor coping and social skills, low self-esteem, and difficulties with self-regulation.

Lead and coach your team to help transform the life of a child as they need someone on their team too!

This position offers a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to a powerful mission aimed at empowering vulnerable children and young people by implementing innovative programs, and striving to create meaningful and lasting change.
