The Role

This role is responsible for creating the visual designs for digital media projects with a focus on user interface and usability. The role will be responsible for new digital designs, but will be required to maintain some graphic elements of existing websites. The Digital Designer works closely with all other members of the team providing expert design and user interface advice on all projects.

A little about you (the key selection criteria)

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Expert knowledge of visual digital design and user interface design, including experience in designing themes for content management systems and mobile
  • Demonstrated experience and thorough knowledge of design principles (typography, colour, layout, motion etc) and multimedia production
  • Extensive experience in delivering high quality standards compliant HTML, CSS and JavaScript code for visual designs working within a creative digital production environment
  • Demonstrated experience in working with digital communications teams including web developers, designers, database and multimedia content producers including video and audio
  • Experience with developing wireframes and flowcharts with a keen understanding of digital usability including for online and mobile
