The Opportunity

Ord Valley Aboriginal Health Service (OVAHS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinic Manager to lead and support our primary health care team in the stunning East Kimberley region of Western Australia.

Based in Kununurra, this is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Aboriginal health while living and working on Miriwoong Country. As Clinic Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe, and holistic health services to the local Aboriginal community.

You’ll be joining a passionate, multidisciplinary team within a well-established ACCHO that has been delivering vital health and wellbeing services in the region for over 40 years. About You

You are a proactive and compassionate health professional with a strong background in primary health care and clinical leadership. You hold current registration as a Registered Nurse, AHP or relevant clinical qualification, and have proven experience managing clinical teams in a community or primary health setting.

You are committed to delivering high-quality, culturally safe care and have a deep respect for Aboriginal culture, community values, and holistic models of health. Your leadership style is collaborative, inclusive, and focused on supporting staff, improving service delivery, and fostering continuous quality improvement.

You thrive in dynamic environments and are ready to take on the challenges and rewards of remote or regional practice. Your communication skills, cultural humility, and ability to build respectful relationships with community members, staff, and stakeholders will be key to your success.

Experience working in Aboriginal health or remote settings is highly regarded, as is knowledge of the social determinants of health and community-led models of care.

About the Benefits

Your dedication will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package circa $160,000.00 per annum pro rata (commensurate with qualifications and experience) including a range of benefits to significantly increase the value of your overall remuneration package including:

  • Specific benefits include:

    • Base Wage: $123,000 - $134,257(dependent on Qualifications and experience) per annum pro rata + Super
    • 5 weeks annual leave per year
    • Additional paid leave over the end of year closure period, as per leave policy
    • Relocation assistance
    • Annual flight allowance
    • IT allowance
    • Accommodation allowance or subsidised accommodation
    • Sociable hours (Mon-Fri office hours)

About Kununurra

As the gateway to Western Australia's magnificent Kimberley region, Kununurra is a thriving community supported by various industries and is surrounded by rugged bushland that creates its own beauty!
