About the role

  • Hybrid and remote working arrangements available
  • Full time (part time options considered)
  • Fixed term to 30 June 2025 (with potential for renewal)
  • $98,825 - $103,784 + 11.5% super + 17.5% annual leave loading

Working within the Government Relations, Policy & Evidence Directorate, the Senior Advisor, Policy (RRE) will focus on supporting evidence-based Respectful Relationships Education (RRE) policy in governments and education systems across the country and will play a key role in supporting Our Watch engagement and strategic policy work in relation to RRE and consent. This role will:

  • Continue to build, test, and share the evidence base in relation to RRE.
  • Coordinate, connect and collaborate with governments and experts and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice to support government leadership of evidence-based RRE, and to support development and delivery of evidence based and high-quality prevention infrastructure and activity in schools.

About you

You will have a strong policy background, coupled with a detailed understanding of the prevention of violence against women evidence base and/or the Australian education system, with a particular focus on RRE. You will have an ability to work collaboratively and with governments and stakeholders across jurisdictions to contribute to and guide RRE nationally, including through continuing to build the evidence base in relation to RRE.
