The Senior Clinician will manage the delivery of clinical support on Orygen’s digital platforms. The Senior Clinician will oversee a large team of clinicians, peer support workers and vocational specialists who engage with young people 12 – 25 years old across the MOST platform and support their clinical outcomes.

Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager you will:

  • Provide clinical supervision to clinicians, peer support workers and vocational specialists in both group format and on an individual basis.
  • Provide clinical support, including an allocation of complex young people on the platforms, managing any escalation, and supporting clinicians and moderators with risk.
  • Contribute to innovation in service delivery, providing input on the continued refinement and application of the MOST service model.
  • Support the implementation of MOST including addressing potential challenges, developing training materials and liaising with clinical staff.

After hours and weekend work will be required – some shifts are 12pm – 8pm AWST

What you’ll need

You are a personable and experienced leader with a passion for agile models of mental health care for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualifications in one of the following allied health fields: Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Social Work and registration with APHRA or AASW (or eligibility for)
  • Experience working with a youth-specific mental health service (such as CYMHS, CAMHS or ELMHS).
  • Experience supervising allied mental health professionals, including training, and mentoring clinical staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team to deliver a high standard of client care and support.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary clinical practices, health practice legislation and professional ethical standards.
