About the job

As the People Advisor you’ll partner closely with leaders and teams across the organisation to embed people-focused initiatives, support day-to-day HR operations, and drive positive change. This role blends strategic people partnering with hands-on coordination of systems and employee lifecycle processes—and offers the opportunity to collaborate across our People, Safety and Wellbeing team to make a real impact.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer you will:

  • People Partnering & HR Advice: Provide strategic and operational support to leaders across the employee lifecycle, including coaching, case management, change processes, and interpreting employment legislation.
  • End-to-End Employee Lifecycle: Manage onboarding, offboarding, contract variations, HRIS data, and day-to-day employee support to ensure a smooth and consistent experience.
  • HR Systems & Processes: Oversee Employment Hero and Fit2Work systems, maintain accurate records and processes, and contribute to system improvements and data reporting.
  • Safety & Wellbeing Support: Assist with safety and wellbeing meetings, incident follow-ups, and promote a healthy, compliant workplace culture.
  • Collaboration & Projects: Contribute to P&C initiatives, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement across the People and Culture function.

Skills and experience

The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in human resources management.
  • Previous experience as People Advisor (or ready to step up) with strong client partnership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Sound problem-solving ability, confident navigating Awards and EBAs, and can manage sensitive people issues with professionalism.
  • Skilled in juggling priorities, you’re organised, tech-savvy (HRIS/Microsoft Office), and ideally have experience in health, NFP or similar sectors.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and values-driven—someone who brings empathy, initiative, a learning mindset, and a flexible, can-do attitude to the team.
  • Strong judgement, attention to detail, and a focus on outcomes, you’re highly organised, customer-focused, and always ready to pitch in where needed.
