Role Summary
- Fixed Term Contract: November / December 2023 - start of November 2025
- Part time: 24 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
- Flexible, remote position with preference for Victorian / Naarm Melbourne base
- Remuneration: Between $76,332 - $89,309 pro rata, plus superannuation
About the Project
This project is aiming to improve affordability and accessibility of food with dignity, and incentivise the provision of regenerative / agroecological produce to eligible customers of Australian community food enterprises, by establishing a voucher program and fund.
Three key areas of the project include:
- Developing an interoperable voucher generation and redemption system.
- Design and establish a Food Voucher Fund.
- Implement Food Voucher program to be piloted in collaboration with Victorian partners.
Role Purpose
This role is project specific and to co-lead the management of an innovative multi-year project to deliver an Australian food voucher fund & regenerative food incentive pilot program in Victoria. The role will be shared with an existing team member with the opportunity to shape responsibilities to interest and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic engagement and partnership development with potential clients.
- Designing projects/products that respond to community and sector needs and market opportunities.
- Working with team members to identify and developing opportunities for project extension and/or complimentary projects.
- Project Manager or project lead - designing, planning and delivering projects aligned with organisational strategic directions.
- Project client relationship management, budget management, monitoring and reporting on metrics, delegating tasks to other project team members and day-to-day project management.
- Identify and analyse risks and opportunities within your product / projects and follow organisational risk management processes as appropriate.
- Evaluate project delivery and impact based on organisational frameworks and project requirements, and propose improvements for future.
- People management - support and train people within your project, encourage acknowledgement and reflection in your team, guide allocation of resources within the project.
- Identifying and advising for improvements to organisational processes.
- Act as an organisational advocate internally and externally: where relevant, understand and represent the Open Food Network products and services and be able to advocate for their use.

Relevant Experience
- 2+ years experience in the not-for-profit or social enterprise sector.
- Experience working on food justice and equity programs, models and initiatives, and / or a demonstrated deep understanding of food justice and equity.
- Experience in managing complex and diverse stakeholder relationships.
- Delivery and implementation of new or pilot programs and projects.
- Experience in implementing Measurement and Evaluation frameworks for Impact reporting.
- Using a wide range of online tools including Slack, Notion and Google Suite.
