If you are a leader with experience in directing a childcare centre then look no further...an exciting opportunity awaits. We need an experienced Early Childhood Director to join the One Tree Community in our Paraburdoo Children's Service, WA.

Early Childhood Director/ Centre Manager:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director/ Centre Manager to join our Paraburdoo Children's Services, Pilbara Region, WA. This is one of our largest centres. We value the children as strong, capable and resilient learners who approach life with wonder and awe. Every child brings with them curiosity and potential. This is what drives our educators to support the children’s need to understand their world and their environment through sustainable practice and a holistic approach to learning. As the Director of this service we need you to lead the team to further success.

About Paraburdoo, WA:

Paraburdoo is a mining town which is located at the south western end of the Hamersley Range National Park. The town's primary attractions include water holes which are suitable for swimming, admiration of the isolated landscape and the opportunity to see wildlife, particularly bird life, in the surrounding countryside. Paraburdoo is located 1528 km north of Perth

About you: Early Childhood Director/ Centre Manager

If you are an experienced Leader/ Director and are looking for a new challenge in your career please send in a cover letter and resume identifying your experience:.

  • You will need to be Diploma Qualified or ECT Qualified with a minimum of 2 year's experience in a management role.
  • Managing a team with the objective of supporting the service to exceed national quality standards.
  • Human Resources: Leading people and manage human resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Partnerships: Working with families, staff and the community to support an integrated service.
  • Quality: Overseeing continuous improvement and positioning the service to get the best possible outcomes including rating as exceeding the National Quality Standards in Australia.
  • Financial Management: Maintaining the service budget.
  • Professional Development: Supporting the development of staff including workplace training and assessment of trainees.
  • Risk Management: Managing risks within the service, ensuring compliance and all legislative and regulatory requirements are met. Ensuring the service adheres to organisational policies and procedures.
  • Education and Care: Provide guidance and mentoring to staff in best practice working with children and be an advocate for children. In smaller services directors will be required to work with children directly as a part of the roster.
