One Tree Community Services is seeking an experienced, professional manager to lead our team in an outstanding new purpose built facility. The successful applicant will be a passionate, self-motivated advocate for children, responsible for overseeing the operations of a 50 place LDC and 30 place OSHC service. This is an exciting opportunity to build on and develop an exceeding level service in a growing regional community.

As part of the One Tree Community, you will be an autonomous manager, with the support of a team of administration professionals in the Perth office, responsible for HR, marketing, enrolments, payroll and finance. You will have daily phone and email access to a children's services advisor, as well as group and individual coaching, and the opportunity to participate in a leadership and management program, to help you to reach your full potential.

About the service

Paraburdoo is a remote mining town 1500km north of Perth. A friendly and active community, the town is a short driving distance from the world renowned scenery of Karajini National Park.  Children and staff have recently relocated to a brand new 4 room facility, with spacious learning areas and engaging nature playgrounds.

The position comes with a furnished house at a rental rate of $25 per week, with subsidised utilities. The successful applicant will receive above award wages of up to $78,000 per year, with an additional $3,900 per year district allowance, paid staff meetings, subsidised childcare and a bonus program for meeting KPIs. 457 sponsorship will be offered to suitable candidates.

Essential requirements 

  • Minimum qualification of Diploma Early Education and Care (or equivalent ACECQA assessed), or Bachelor of Education Early Childhood.
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
  • Certified Supervisor certificate
  • Working with Children Check
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Strong understanding of Education and Care Regulations, EYLF and MTOP
  • Understanding of Reggio Emilia approach to learning
  • Proven ability to manage performance and compliance of staff, Partnerships, quality assurance and finances to meet National Quality Standards and Key Performance Indicators
  • Positive, energetic disposition with high level EQ.
  • Ability to research and share industry knowledge
  • Ability to effectively manage budgets and finances
  • Ability to network with the community and build links for mutual benefit
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, Quikids and other related software
