About us

United Minds Community Services is a medium size not for profit charity in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. We offer the following programs and services:

  • A full therapy and assessment service through Medicare, NDIS, TAC, Workcover, VOCAT and DET
  • We support people across a lifespan in our therapy and assessment services
  • Group sessions (Medicare) and group-based support initiatives (community grants).
  • A Community Access Initiative to support people in accessing psychological support through our student clinic services, our intern service and community funded places for those most disadvantaged.
  • A Community Service Program (CSP), our charity arm, which delivers a foodbank, material aid and our Community Access Initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of therapy and/or assessments with people across a lifespan (working with presentations and ages you feel comfortable)
  • Provide individual and group-based support (if required/suitable)
  • Complete treatment letters and reports as per funding requirements
  • Maintain accurate case notes
  • Liaise with other treating health professionals if/where required
  • Engage in team meetings and clinical lead supervision as required

Psychologists and Mental Health Social Workers may be located across both sites, depending on room availability.

What we are looking for:

  • You will have experience/understanding of funding systems such as Medicare, NDIS, Workcover, TAC, VOCAT
  • You are passionate and share similar values to our organisation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You will be able to work independently as well as contribute to a diverse team
  • Someone who is eligible for a Medicare provider number (mandatory)
