Who we are looking for

We are seeking a motivated Senior Clinician in the AOD field to undertake family reunification work. This role would be well suited to a person with a social work, counselling or psychology background. The position

The role is a SCHADS level 4 classification. The position is a parental leave backfill position and is offered as a full time, maximum term contract to 22 April 2022. The role is based in Footscray and requires travel between sites across the North West Catchment including Broadmeadows and Melton. The Family Reunification AOD program provides AOD assessments, case management and counselling to parents where completion of AOD treatment is one of the conditions included in family reunification orders. The key purpose of the role is to improve timely access to the AOD treatment required within the timeframes specified in family reunification orders.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Provide high quality engagement, assessment and treatment services to individuals and their families through evidence-based, therapeutic counselling and group work
  • Have excellent attention to detail with well-developed planning and organisational skills
  • Be approachable and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Possess experience in developing treatment plans and providing effective AOD counselling
