The Hope Centre is OHV's newest state-wide residential drug and rehabilitation centre, located at Lucknow, near Bairnsdale, East Gippsland, operating since early 2020. As a residential treatment facility, the Hope Centre works to maximise successful rehabilitation, providing clients with access to skills training to complement re-entry into the community and workforce, and to establishing healthier relationships, promoting personal change and supporting them in their recovery journey. This is a rare career opportunity within Odyssey House Victoria for a current staff member who is ready to take their next step in Residential Services or perhaps move across to our Residential Services program for this opportunity.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead and guide a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of a best practice model of Therapeutic Community Care. The Program Manager and the Program is well supported by an established quality framework ensuring best practice at all levels of the operations. Ideally you will have a professional qualification in psychiatric nursing, psychology or social work and/or significant experience in residential drug and alcohol/mental health facility as a senior staff member, along with a comprehensive understanding of alcohol and drug substance abuse within a residential rehabilitation service.

The position

The position is offered as a full time, 1.0 FTE, maximum term contract to 30 June 2025. The role is based at Bairnsdale.

Moving into its' third year of operations, Hope Centre currently has 30 resident beds and is seeking to expand to 45 beds in increments over the next 12 months. The Program Manager Hope Centre with 6 direct reports and a total team of 25 staff, is responsible for the planning and day to day management of the Hope Centre. Working within the predetermined therapeutic community structure, the incumbent will lead the creation and maintenance of a culture which is physically and psychologically safe, and encouraging of change and growth.

Evidence of such vaccination status will be requested during the onboarding process and offers will be rescinded where such evidence cannot be provided.
