Join Us as Our Executive Manager, Residential Programs

Odyssey Victoria is on the lookout for a dynamic Executive Manager, Residential Treatment Services to oversee and champion our residential programs across Victoria. This is your chance to make a lasting impact—leading services that change lives every day.

In this senior leadership role, you’ll oversee our renowned programs including our Therapeutic Communities in Melbourne (Lower Plenty), Circuit Breaker (near Benalla), and the Hope Centre (near Bairnsdale). You'll drive service excellence and compliance, strengthen family inclusive practice, and ensure we’re hitting targets and exceeding expectations. You will also contribute to the development of new residential programs, including in Mildura.

We’re looking for a forward-thinker—someone who can spot opportunities, secure new funding, and help us grow in smart, sustainable ways. You will support and develop the capacity of our program managers, and you will build strong relationships with government and sector partners. You will remain across the details to support operations and as well as lead innovative program development.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will work alongside our other Executive Managers – Community Programs, Practice Excellence, Development, People & Communications, and Finance to help shape and implement OV’s strategic direction.

  • Identify any emerging issues or critical incidents that may impact upon the growth, stability, reputation, stability, and sustainability of the relevant programs/work areas.
  • Effectively lead the delivery of high-quality residential services and programs that have a positive impact on consumers and their families.
  • Provide leadership, support and guidance to Managers and Team Leaders to assist them in developing a collaborative and high performing team culture, achieving service targets and key performance indicators, and promoting continuous learning and professional development opportunities for Residential Services employees.
  • Contribute to the continuing development of OV family inclusive practice and Child Safety policy and procedures, and ensure that all staff and program areas promote and adhere to child safe practices.
  • Identify opportunities for the ongoing development and strengthening of residential services by keeping abreast of funding sources from government (state and federal), trusts and foundations, investigating other possible funding sources and giving special attention to the development of other "fee for service" or contracted possibilities.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with other related sectors to better support our client’s holistic needs, including mental health, family, housing, employment etc.
  • In consultation with the CEO, Executive Manager Finance, and Program Managers, develop annual income and expenditure and capital needs budgets for residential programs.
  • Work with Program Managers to maintain a safe and healthy workplace environment for all staff, residents, volunteers, and contractors by developing a strong safety culture with an ongoing focus on the health and wellbeing of staff and residents.
