  • + 5-weeks annual leave

The New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA) in association with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation New South Wales Branch (ANMF NSW Branch) is a strong and influential union for its members. We are seeking a person who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. A person who wants to make a positive difference to the care of people within the NSW Health System.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to make a difference by:

  • Assisting in the resolution of WHS issues and disputes affecting NSWNMA members
  • Providing advice on WHS matters affecting NSWNMA members
  • Undertaking WHS inspections/investigations
  • Analysing and providing feedback/input on WHS policies and procedures
  • Supporting HSRs in their role in the workplace
  • Providing WHS information and education to NSWNMA staff and members
  • Recruiting members to the NSWNMA / ANMF NSW Branch
  • Identifying and support WHS related campaigning opportunities
  • Identifying potential WHS issues of interest or concern to the members and the NSWNMA/ANMF NSW Branch and respond accordingly
  • Developing and reviewing all WHS Association policies in a timely fashion
  • Actively represent the Association in a wide range of forums

We are looking for people who have:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in a work health and safety discipline or working towards or relevant experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, policy development and broad research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in dispute/issue resolution
