As the Family and Service Leader at the In Home Care Support Agency (IHCSA), you will collaborate with the IHCSA team to develop, deliver, and evaluate the In Home Care program. Your pivotal role as the Family and Service Leader involves supporting, resourcing, monitoring, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Family and Services Facilitators. Through this leadership, you will ensure that quality practices are upheld within In Home Care Service Providers, resulting in positive outcomes for both families and children.

NSW Family Day Care Association (NSWFDCA) is the leading peak body for Family Day Care Services, dedicated to promoting, training, and supporting Family Day Care and In Home Care providers.

Department Overview:

The In Home Care Support Agency is a vital business arm of NSWFDCA, offering crucial assistance to In Home Care service providers and families under the New Child Care Package. Funded by the Australian Government, this agency plays a significant role in ensuring the success of these care services.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Oversee and improve operational systems and processes.
  • Manage project timelines for effective task completion.
  • Support day-to-day operations, meeting weekly goals.
  • Delegate responsibilities, enforce policies, and uphold standards.
  • Contribute operations insights to strategic plans.
  • Manage IT integration for data security.
  • Ensure unwavering compliance.
  • Analyse and enhance process, workflow, and layout.
  • Create a safe work environment, enforcing standards.
  • Stay updated through education and professional networks.
  • Achieve organisational mission goals.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Early childhood education and care or relevant qualifications.
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets and meet key performance indicators.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work independently.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in accountability, consistency, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving skills and the ability to offer innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent language, communication (both written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Excellent team member.
  • Work well under pressure.

DESIRABLE

  • Understanding of the In Home Care sector.
  • Experience working with government agencies.
  • Knowledge of the non-profit industry.
