Marketing and Communications Manager

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Team, you’ll drive media, branding, digital engagement, and public messaging that elevate NRCH’s presence and build trust across a diverse audience base.

This role also leads a small team and works hands on to deliver key communications projects, support internal communications, manage risk and reputation, and amplify the voices of the communities we serve.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development and implementation of NRCH’s Communications and Marketing Strategy.
  • Oversee all media, public relations, social media, website content, and brand positioning.
  • Manage internal communications to ensure consistent and values aligned messaging across teams.
  • Deliver engaging campaigns and content that reflect NRCH’s values and reach key audiences.
  • Guide and mentor a small Communications team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
  • Work closely with community, government, and sector partners to build trust and strengthen reputation.

About you

You’re a strategic thinker and a natural storyteller and bring heart to every message. You're confident managing high stakes communications, leading a team, and collaborating with stakeholders across government, media, and the community. You’re also hands on and agile, ready to support your team and jump into delivery when needed.

You’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, PR, Marketing or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in a senior communications or marketing role.
  • A proven ability to develop and implement strategic communication plans.
  • Expertise across digital platforms including website management, social media, and design tools (e.g. WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Exceptional writing, editing and messaging skills.
  • Experience managing staff or working in high performance teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and risk management capabilities.
  • Experience working in health, community, or advocacy-based organisations will be highly regarded.
