The Women’s Centre is a feminist organisation providing trauma-informed, evidence based, support to women. We are currently recruiting experienced women to work across our Sexual Assault Support Service and Women’s Health Service.

Our team is highly skilled, experienced, supportive and dedicated to challenging systems that condone and perpetuate gender-based violence.
The Women’s Wellbeing and Sexual Assault Support Specialist provides a holistic, wrap-around response to women within a trauma-informed framework. This dynamic role requires skills in counselling, case management, advocacy and collaborative community education. The role offers a unique opportunity to participate on a 24 hour roster in a Sexual Assault Response Team providing immediate support to victim-survivors of sexual violence. There are no other roles like this in Queensland, The Women’s Centre is recognised across Queensland as an innovative and progressive service offering best practice responses to sexual violence. Participation on this roster is required, however is flexible and can be discussed at the interview stage according to your unique circumstances.

Remuneration is in accordance with the Level 4 or Level 5 of the SCHCADS Award 2010 (relative to qualifications and experience).
All employment is subject to the successful candidate holding or obtaining a current satisfactory National Police and Working with Vulnerable People check.
A current Drivers Licence is essential.
