North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network
  • Rare opportunity to develop your UI and UX skills while making a difference to the mental health care system in Australia.
  • Full Time (1.0 FTE), Maximum term role until 30 June 2023 (with possibility of extension)
  • Generous NFP salary packaging options up to $18,550

The Head to Health Front End Developer will refine and enhance an existing UI used by mental health clinicians in intake teams across Australia. The work requires strong engagement with clinical users to understand their workflow needs, while building intuitive interface elements to coordinate their work. We are looking for a talented, responsive, and curious front end developer who is keen to develop their UX/UI design and web front-end development skills on a system that helps improve mental health care in Australia.

Overview of Programs:

  • Client-side, the application is built on top of Bootstrap, with HTML rendered using the Jinja module (built in to Flask), and pure JavaScript is also used extensively.
  • Some development on Flask endpoints (using Python) is likely to be required, though complexity is minimal. The stack is hosted in AWS and includes Flask (a Python WSGI web application framework) and MySQL.
  • The code is managed and deployed from GitHub branches. Continuous integration processes are implemented and the environment has instances each for dev, test, and production. GitHub is also used for developer workflow (such as change request management).
  • The development team is small, talented, responsive, and curious and we love open source.
