  • Remuneration: Band 3 - $71,116.14 - $85,988.34 + 11.5% superannuation + generous NFP salary packaging options up to $18,550
  • Full Time (Part-time arrangements genuinely considered), Permanent role.
  • Docklands office location - Hybrid; WFH (2-3 days)

You will be part of a high-performing Analytics and Insights team within the Insight, Performance and Digital Services Directorate and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.

You will use operational and statistical data to interpret and report on conditions, trends, and outcomes for activities commissioned by North Western Melbourne PHN and other health system initiatives. You will be using technologies such as Python and/or R, and visualisation software such as Power BI.

This role is suitable for a person with developing/intermediate data analysis and reporting skills, with opportunities for professional development.

We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in Melbourne's northern, western and inner-city areas. What will my typical week look like:

  • You will conduct exploratory data analysis and investigate to identify appropriate data for reporting and analysis.
  • Developing reporting and analysis using design-thinking, to convey clear information.
  • Providing ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing reporting solutions. Working with key stakeholders to provide clear and relevant information, as required.

About you:

  • You will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or suitable experience in Health Informatics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL, and Python or R programming languages.
  • Understanding of data management and governance best practices.
  • Previous experience in a health-related data analysis role or can demonstrate a genuine interest in the health sector.
