Following an amalgamation of Inner Melbourne Community Legal and Flemington Kensington Community Legal Centre in 2022, IMCL now operates across two sites in North Melbourne and Kensington, and delivers multiple integrated outreach services in partnership with other community organisations in the local area. A signature program is the Police Accountability Project, which assists people experiencing police harmand advocates for systemic reform.
We are looking to recruit volunteers for various programs across the organisation, for both legal and non-legal roles. The non-legal roles will be working with our Intake Paralegals or our Director of Strategy, Engagement & Projects.
The legal areas that we are recruiting volunteers for are Migration, Fines, Family, Criminal. We are also recruiting volunteers for our Duty Lawyer Service at Melbourne Magistrates Court and our Police Accountability Project.
Please call our Legal Practice and Operation Manager, Tori Diamond if you would like to discuss any of the duties involved in these roles.
