We are an organisation designed by nurses, led by nurses, and delivered by nurses and midwives committed exclusively to the health, wellbeing and resilience of nurses, midwives and nursing and midwifery students. We operate within a health and wellbeing framework incorporating prevention, intervention, and restoration.

We sensitively and thoughtfully respond to individuals with information, advice, and treatment, and assist with access to specialist referral partners for any sensitive health concern which will promote the individual’s health, wellbeing and resilience and reduce the risks to those who use nursing and midwifery services.

We are seeking a Registered nurse or Registered midwife to work alongside the CEO to deliver the strategic priorities of the program by working with the clinical team on a day-to-day basis. This role is also accountable to drive effective engagement with a broad range of stakeholders across Victoria to ensure right fit programs and services are delivered. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to maintaining the professional nature of the nursing and midwifery profession and a deep understanding of the profession first-hand. The person in this critical role will be able to communicate with a wide range of organisations and peak bodies, along with all internal stakeholders, to achieve outcomes that are mutually beneficial whilst keeping the key objective of supporting the health and wellbeing of the profession at the core.

The responsibilities in this key role include:

  • Effectively lead and support the clinical team with daily program operations ensuring optimal outcomes and experiences.
  • Coordinate the identification and delivery of services.
  • Support stakeholder program partnerships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Lead the team in assisting and supporting employers and health services to promote NMHPV services to their workforce.
  • Work with the CEO and Quality and Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance.

To be successful in the role, you will have the following

  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing/midwifery, ideally with a post-graduate in public health, management, counselling or alcohol or drug-related field.
  • Proven track record of working with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Strong ability to lead and develop others to achieve outcomes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the nursing and midwifery professions.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working on staff health and wellbeing programs.
