Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation (YYNAC) is a Victorian Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) undertaking a variety of functions and activities throughout Victoria and NSW. Ranging from cultural heritage services, labour hire, farming, eco-tourism and the education and training centres in the Barmah National Forest. YYNAC also maintains the Traditional Owner Land Management Agreement over Barmah National Park, and the operation and management of the natural resource management team.
YYNAC has several revenue generating units, and in addition it receives funding for economic development and cultural preservation projects from State and Federal Government Organisations.
Reporting to the CEO and collaborating with the COO you will be involved in a diverse range of duties ranging from engaging with funding bodies, grant reporting, commercial partnerships and off-take agreements, growing the social enterprise businesses and growing income via tourism and high value agricultural crops, to enhancing the traditional financial management and reporting functions.
You will also lead all the traditional financial elements including compliance and financial risk management and being a hands-on role you will need to roll-up your sleeves to deliver operational duties such as financial administration, payroll and accounts.

You could be a finance manager looking to progress into your first CFO role. You will be a qualified accountant with CPA or CA qualifications (essential) and possess both a high EQ and a consultative management style which will stand you in good stead as you influence and engage both internal and external stakeholders.
Previous experience working in a community or membership driven organisation or a like-minded corporate will be considered favourably. Most importantly, you are ready to enjoy the spoils of either Echuca/Shepparton or even Bendigo as you work from the Barmah office which is a twenty five minute drive from Echuca. A hybrid working arrangement will be considered.
