  • Classification: SCHADS Level 6 with a salary range of $102,653 - $107,178 per annum + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About your new role

The Way Back Service (TWB) is an initiative funded by the Western Sydney Primary Health Network (PHN), WentWest. TWB is a non-clinical service focused on providing practical, psychosocial support to people who are experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide. Support is provided for up to 3 months, and targets those at highest risk through the receipt of referrals from our partners hospitals, community, and primary care settings within the Western Sydney region.

The Service Manager provides service delivery leadership and program management of TWB service as funded by NSW Health. This position provides guidance and expertise to ensure the service contributes to the increase of the participant’s capacity and independence; is efficient and responsive; achieves key performance indicators and is of a high quality

What you will bring to the role?

  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a diplomatic manner
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced, changing and agile environment
  • Ability to establish respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff and partner organisations
  • Ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of a diverse range of people, and identifies changing needs within a group
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower team members through coaching and mentoring to identify development goals and strategies for achieving them.

What the role requires:

  • National Criminal History Check (Police check) – disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Australian Working Rights
