Drawing on the National Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce Guidelines, the Peer Placement Coordinator will utilise their Lived Expertise to model Lived Experience Practice to peer work students and their placement teams, including Peer Mentors.
The Peer Placement Coordinator will also support the ongoing development of Neami National student placement guidelines and procedures that will be made available to Neami service managers and educational institutions, by working alongside the Whittlesea Local Student Placement Coordinator and aligning peer work student placement processes with other disciplines such as social work and nursing.
The role will also liaise with relevant learning institutions in the development of partnerships for the placement of students from the Mental Health Peer Work Certificate IV. This includes actively support and engage in peer work student recruitment processes including promoting and increasing awareness of Neami employment opportunities in educational institutions to support the proactive procurement of suitable candidates.
