  • Classification: Health Professional Level 2 OR Nurses Award Level 2 with a salary range of $88,406 - $98,899 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

As an Allied Health Professional, you will draw on your discipline skills, engage with the consumers, other clinicians, the consumer's treatment team, lived experience peer workers, Neami staff and family/friends/carers to provide high quality needs assessments and interventions aimed at improving mental health outcomes for consumers accessing the service. The Allied Health Professional positions will look to provide short to medium term supports to individuals and have a strong emphasis on preparing the consumer to leave the service and support their access to holistic and integrated care. This work will focus on clinical needs assessment, collaborative care planning and group facilitation where required.

What you will bring to the role

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
  • As a Mental Health Clinician, you will have registration with the relevant accreditation body in your field. It is a responsibility of the incumbent to maintain all registrations requirements with the appropriate registration authority and continuing professional development
  • Social Worker, Nurse, or Occupational Therapist - General or Clinical Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Board approved clinical supervisor desirable
  • Experience in development and facilitation of therapeutic groups
  • Experience in providing therapeutic intervention to people presenting with complex mental health issues
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility with work hours
  • Act as a resource and mentor to new staff
  • Participate in case presentations

  • National Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work
  • Current AHPRA or AASW registration
  • Current drivers licence
  • Australian working rights
