The Employment Specialist role will be working in partnership with the Neami Western Sydney Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) team. The program works to support consumers to engage in their own personal and unique recovery journey and develop new skills, social connections and improve their wellbeing.
Neami National’s WorkWell programs support recovery through open employment. Support from the Employment Services Manager and the WorkWell team, the Employment Specialist will work in the context of the Individual Placement and Support model (IPS); supporting the consumers working toward their individual employment goals. The principles of IPS are competitive employment, integration into a mental health team, individual preferences, zero exclusion, rapid-job search, job development, benefits counselling, and time-unlimited support.
Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.
