"We're big believers in everyone having the opportunity to live a full life - and we give our all to support people to achieve wellbeing and mental health outcomes that matter to them.
For some people, this means having a stronger sense of self. For others, it may mean nurturing relationships or building the confidence to tackle tomorrow. Everyone has different life goals, and at Neami, we walk alongside people to help improve their quality of life on their terms.
We're proud to support 38,000 people living with mental health challenges across Australia and offer more than 70 services, over 45 different Indigenous lands. These services include mental health and wellbeing, housing and homelessness, and suicide prevention."
Sustaining Tenancies in Social Housing (STSH) provides varying levels of support, including case management, to tenants whose tenancy is deemed at risk by the social housing provider, Homes NSW. The work is predominantly within the Southwest Sydney region between Leumeah and Glenfield (Macquarie Fields Portfolio).
The role is responsible for working with tenants who have been identified as having an 'at risk' tenancy to address the concerns raised by Homes NSW. It is required that you will work collaboratively with Homes NSW staff, Tharawal Housing Aboriginal Corporation, Neami and key external stakeholders with the common goal of supporting tenants to meet obligatory requirements of their tenancy agreement to sustain their tenancy.
The program works with people for a period of 12-months to assist in development of skills, knowledge and resources that will allow a person to sustain their tenancy on their own moving forward into the future.
The terms and conditions of the role are listed in the position description which can be found on the Neami Job Vacancy portal (select paper clip icon).
